Kazushi Ono made a triumphant return to La Monnaie on Sunday to conduct a special concert celebrating the 250th anniversary of the orchestra there, in a programme of Massenet, Prokofiev and Richard Strauss, with soprano Elsa Dreisig. He served as Music Director there between 2002 and 2008.
